OwlHenry Redesign (GD)
Rabid OwlHenry megafans might have noticed the banner redesign at the top of this page. This is a direct result of watching David Carson's MasterClass. That guy's a master, and it was truly inspiring to watch a whole class about his semi-charmed life and design process. (GD) Business Card Design (Stars)
Here's a recent bizcard design for a client whose only specification was that he wanted "five stars in a spiral" somewhere on the card. I decided to draw the stars, making them rougher, messier and more playful than shapes created on Illustrator; the stars get smaller and darker as they "recede" in their spiral. The flip side is simple, clean and professional. (The card's like a mullet- business in the front, party in the back.) These are my only proposals for this project, as he liked them right away- niiiiiice!

(GD) Business Card Design
Dr. Alexis Kuerbis is a good friend of mine living and working in New York City. Above are some proposals for a business card for her private counseling service, followed by her choice for the front and back side of the card. Alexis studies Buddhism, so I chose bold colors from the Tibetan palette. The fish are a sign of harmony, one of the Eight Auspicious Signs of Buddhism; since Dr. Kuerbis is from Southern California, I chose to make the fish Garibaldi, the bright orange natives of those waters.
